republiCon Ron – Hopelessly Delusional, Or Pathological Liar?
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on July 1, 2008 - 11:58pm.Ron Carey, as far as I can tell, has never taken any responsibility for any problem – it’s always an attack by “an enemy”, and sometimes even “Enemies Of The Party.” Doesn’t matter what the issue is, it’s always someone else’s fault. I asked a previous question about Ron Carey, Ron Carey: Pathetically Incompetent, or Criminally Culpable? concerning Carey’s atrocious ‘stewardship” and record of noncompliance with FEC Reporting Requirements (and other financial improprieties). Today, after the way republiCon Ron twisted and distorted the facts concerning C.R.E.W, the question must be asked: Is Ron Carey hopelessly delusional, or a pathological liar?
Ethics Complaint Filed Against Coleman
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on July 1, 2008 - 11:24am.It’s official – an Ethics Complaint has been filed against Senator Coleman. And it’s been filed for the old-fashioned reason – ol’ Smokescreen’s EARNED it. Just who does ol’ Smokescreen think he’s fooling?
Is Norm's Pal Jeff a Tax Cheat?
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on July 1, 2008 - 8:45am.And if he was, would it surprise anyone? Now, some people are going to wonder why the ol’ Twoputter might suggest such a thing, so I’ll say this right now: the online D.C. Property Tax Records indicates that Norm Coleman’s crash pad has the “Homestead” tax classification. But, wait – didn’t ol’ Smokescreen claim he’s renting the basement? And didn’t Larson claim he was renting out the top? So how exactly does this property qualify for a Homestead Exemption? Let’s look!!!
US Army's Report ---- Bush (cheney)ed Up
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 29, 2008 - 2:27pm.Ladies and Gentlemen, two years ago the Pioneer Press asked the 22 major party candidates for congress three questions, one of which was: “Did the U.S. do the right thing sending troops to Iraq?” John Kline answered, and I quote:
Ladies and Gentlemen, that was a bullshit answer then, and it still is.
Norm Coleman's Landlord
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 27, 2008 - 1:14am.Gee – how cool would it be, if your landlord didn’t bother to cash your checks? I dunno; my landlords always cashed mine. Like, immediately. If not sooner. Then again, my landlord wasn’t ol’ Smokescreen’s landlord; a guy by the name of Jeff "Landlord" Larson.
“Late Fees” doesn’t appear to be in Landlord Larson’s vocabulary (at least as far as Coleman is concerned). Then again, I never did business with my landlord, and my landlord wasn't Jeff "Landlord" Larson. And my landlord insisted I pay rent, each and every month. Ol’ Smokescreen’s landlord, Landlord Larson, apparently doesn’t. I guess that’s why Smokescreen’s landlord, Landlord Larson, wasn’t in any hurry to cash Coleman’s rent checks, even when paid late. I wonder if Landlord Larson even bothered to remind the ol' Smokscreen that rent was due on the first, A COUPLA MONTHS AGO? But, hey! What’s the big deal, when you’re renting from a guy you do business with?
Smokescreen And Abramoff's Money
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 25, 2008 - 2:27pm.My point connecting Norm Coleman to Jack Abramoff isn't Abramoff influencing Coleman; it isn't the dough Abramoff gave Coleman; it's Coleman turning a blind eye to The Abramoff Scandal while ol' Smokescreen chaired the Senate's Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations (PSI).
Laurie Coleman Dumps Norm
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 17, 2008 - 4:47am.Yep – she sure did. With little fanfare, and absolutely no publicity that I could find. I’m not sure exactly when Laurie dumped Norm; but I know it was quite recent and I found out about it quite by accident. You see, I was talking to a friend; discussing how republiCons in general - and Senator Smokescreen in particular - never admit to doing anything wrong. Ever. But, Laurie dumping Norm like she did, is proof somebody done something wrong…
John Kline Franked Me! - Part 2, Updated
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 13, 2008 - 11:30am.As discussed yesterday, "Chaz" from Congressman Kline's office promised to let me know how the ol' TwoPutter got on a John Kline mailing list. Would it surprise anyone to find out "Chaz" hasn't?
John Kline Franked Me! - Part 1
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 12, 2008 - 1:14pm.The mailman delivered an interesting piece the other day; a letter from that noted "fiscal conservative", John Kline, to me, the ol' TwoPutter. And it's interesting, because not only did it have John Kline's signature where the stamp should be, it's interesting because my address is in a district that isn't represented by John Kline. Why is John Kline sendin' franked mailings to the ol' TwoPutter? Inquiring minds, want to know! So, I called Kline's Burnsville office.....
John Kline's "Treatment" Of Veterans
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 10, 2008 - 3:22pm.Often, I’m asked why so many of the Disabled American Veterans dislike John Kline so much. One reason is John Kline’s abysmal record in Congress; in 2004 and 2005 John Kline had a perfect record – he voted against the Disabled American Veterans on each and every vote. And it’s more than that. John Kline puts partisan politics over veterans interests. Each year, the Minnesota Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans sends a delegation to Washington to discuss legislation that will help Disabled American Veterans live a better life. At the 2006 meeting, John Kline told the delegation he would not co-sponsor legislation to do just that, because the legislation that would do just that was written by a Democrat and he, John Kline, did NOT co-sponsor legislation written by Democrats. Thanks, John - NOT.
Norm Coleman, Jack Abramoff, and Prostitution
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 10, 2008 - 1:24pm.OK, I know that today is “Steve Sarvi Blog Day”, but this story is too big to ignore. The American Bar Association Journal has a story about Abramoff ties to the Bush Department of Justice. In the story, an Abramoff lobbyist suggests using prostitutes as a reward to DOJ staffers. Yes, “prostitutes”. Needless to say, the investigation revealing this was NOT instigated by Norm “Smokescreen” Coleman, R=Lapdog.
John Kline, republiCon
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 10, 2008 - 12:00am.In the last election, John Kline received the Pioneer Press endorsement (thanks, Craig - NOT) and promptly blew off the next three publicly scheduled events. Especially egregious of these was the Goodhue County Veterans Forum at the VFW in Zumbrota. Even more egregious was Mike Osskop's treatment of the truth. But most egregious of all was John Kline's reason for blowing off the veterans: he had to pick up a PAC check.
Norm Coleman And Jack Abramoff
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 9, 2008 - 8:32pm.Even though Jack Abramoff is sitting in jail, he still keeps on touching people. Today, he touched a whole bunch of people in the Bush misAdministration, as evidenced by the House Oversight report issued today. What needs to be pointed out, frequently and loudly, is that oversight and investigations concerning Jack Abramoff is something Norm Coleman simply wouldn’t and didn’t do. Just as Jack Abramoff had influence into the Bush misAdministration, the Bush misAdministration has plenty of influence over Norm “Smokescreen” Coleman, R=Lapdog.
Planned Parenthood Minnesota Rips Senator Smokescreen
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 6, 2008 - 3:27pm.Ol’ Smokescreen really likes to hide is his true record. So while Coleman pretends to give a rip while his surrogates rip Franken, I thought I’d check with Planned Parenthood and see what they have to say about Senator Smokescreen. Here’s what I sent them:
Covering Up For The Smokescreen
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 6, 2008 - 10:25am.First, it was republiCon Ron carrying Coleman’s water. When the hypocrisy of that one backfired, Coleman tapped State Rep Laura Brod as toady. And Brod does a fine job portraying herself as “the indignant rightwing woman.” But, what kind of woman covers for a guy that helped covered up some of the worst abuses of women that this country has ever seen? We’ll get to that, later. "Right" now, I’m going to post excerpts that appeared in the Spring 2006 issue of Ms. Magazine – when ol’ Senator Smokescreen was the Chair of the Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee On Investigations. It’s a little long, but it’s essential in order to follow the abuses committed on women; abuses Norm Coleman never bothered to investigate:
Laura Brod, "Hypocrite Of The Month" Nominee
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 5, 2008 - 3:18pm.So, I googled “Abramoff Saipan” and the very first hit was:
The second was:
And on and on and on and on it went. There is no question that Jack Abramoff and the GOP (GreedOverPrinciples) party is deeply tied to the island of Saipan, where the American Flag flies – because it is American territory; an American Protectorate.
So then, I googled “Saipan Prostitution”, and the very first hit read:
Hey! West Virginia!! Go (cheney) Yourself!!!
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 3, 2008 - 9:05pm.Well, "The Man Without A Heart (That’s Only One Heartbeat Away)" has done it again. Yesterday, at an awards banquet hosted by The National Press Club, Dick Cheney did something really stupid. No, he didn’t shoot a lawyer – he tried to tell a funny. So, what did Cheney say, that managed to piss off an entire state? Well, something rather outrageous, but probably not outrageous enough for State Rep Laura Brod or State Senator Betsy Wergin to hold another press conference – but, only because Cheney is a Republican. So, what did Cheney say yesterday, while Brod and Wergin were busy carrying Coleman’s water? You simply cannot make this stuff up.
Hiding In Plain Sight
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 3, 2008 - 7:44am.There are two reasons why the sight of two Republican women, State Rep Laura Brod and State Senator Betsy Wergin, carrying Coleman’s water was predictable. The first is that Ron Carey has been thoroughly and completely discredited, the second is that Norm “Smokescreen” Coleman always has someone else do his dirty work. Yes, gentle reader, even though you couldn’t see him, Norm Coleman was at that “press conference” yesterday - hiding in plain sight.
Fear And Loathing In Rochester
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on June 1, 2008 - 10:19am.The “fear” is of the truth, and he “loathing” is directed from Ron Carey and his minions towards those that refuse to sit down, shut up, and abide. You know – those that refuse to be bootlickers.
By now, most folk have heard about republiCon Ron tellin’ the Paulites “talk to the hand, ‘cause the face don’t wanna see it”; which is behaviour highly reminiscent of some pre-pubescent punk after bein’ told “you have to share.”
Hey – current GOP leadership doesn’t believe in “sharing” – just as they don’t believe in “governing.” They believe in “ruling”, and they believe they were destined to be the rulers. Everything you learned in kindergarten, republiCon Ron & Co ignored.
And they certainly ignored conventional wisdom with their choice of the curtain closer, Karl Rove. If republiCon Ron wanted to rally the base, he certainly did it – for the DFL.
republiCon Ron’s heavy hand didn’t end after the “official” end of the convention; not at all. While the rank ‘n file shuffled out of Rochester, the State Central Committee still had dirt to sweep under the rug, er, ‘scuse me, “still had work to do." And, true to form, they managed to piss people off while doing it.
I’m hearing from some seriously pissed off people, and here’s just one example:
"Nope! Nothin' To See Here!!!"
Submitted by TwoPuttTommy on May 30, 2008 - 2:50pm.Ladies and Gentlemen,
Due to Ron Carey’s “stewardship” of the Republican Party of Minnesota, my research (so far) indicates the Minnesota GOPers are leading the country in filing "Amended To The Amended Reports" to the Federal Election Commission. By far. The level of apparent incompetence is incredible. So, what’s a GOPer like republiCon Ron to do? Denial!!! Ya, shure, you betcha! And that’s exactly what we can expect Ron Carey to do, in Rochester, to fend off criticism of his “stewardship”.
I tried to get a comment out of the Federal Elections Commission; alas – for "Matters Under Review", the FEC is mum. Real mum. But, I did manage to confirm there is an active complaint being investigated, and the allegations are serious – especially the misuse of deductions from employee’s pay.
Here’s what Star Tribune reporters Pat Doyle and Dan Browning reported almost a year ago:
