Stop the Robo-Callers!
Submitted by Coleen Rowley on October 30, 2008 - 12:27pm.
When McCain began flooding his fear-mongering robo-calls into Minnesota, my friend Terry Rogers and I wanted to start a new "Do Not Call" list. Instead Terry wrote this letter to the editor which was published yesterday in the Northfield News:
If I Had a Banner During the RNC
Submitted by Coleen Rowley on August 22, 2008 - 8:09pm.Dear Twin Cities Peace Vigil Participants:
How does that song go? Something like: “If I had a banner, I’d hold it in the morning… All over this land!” Especially with the national focus here due to the RNC. Remember patriots can't stay home!
Bridges In A Small World
Submitted by Coleen Rowley on July 3, 2008 - 1:37pm.Walt Disney was right about something: "It IS a small world after all". It just seems that Stanley Milgram's "six degrees of connectedness" theory is often proven to only be two or three degrees. Example: I just found out that Susan Cowsill and her husband, Russ Broussard, who are playing a benefit concert for our "Women Against Military Madness" group this Sunday (July 6) beginning at 5 pm at the Minnesota Music Cafe, also contributed after the Minneapolis I-35W bridge came down to this “Musicians for Minneapolis” 57 song CD, the proceeds of which went to the Bridge Disaster Relief Effort.

Submitted by Coleen Rowley on June 28, 2008 - 9:02am.I posted the following piece originally on the Huffington Blog yesterday. I should add that Sen. Klobuchar is not alone in having signed these terrible resolutions that could help pave the way for Bush to launch his 3rd war in 6 1/2 years, this time on Iran. Klobuchar is joined as a co-sponsor by Republican Senator Norm Coleman and Republican Representatives John Kline and James Ramstad.

Let's bring home the fathers!
Submitted by Coleen Rowley on June 16, 2008 - 7:03pm.In honor of Father's Day yesterday, we got a lot of fathers and children of fathers out on the St. Paul footbridges. We ended up covering these two perches over Highway 94 leading into St. Paul. Since the different themed displays were about 1 ½ miles apart, it created a real one-two color punch for motorists below.
