McCain: How many mistakes before we call it senility?

So the questions remain: Is McCain getting so old, that the economy is beyond his grasp? Or did McCain decide that the economy was so unimportant that he never bothered to learn the economy basics? In any case, do we want a president who really does not understand the economy? Especially do we want a president who doesn't understand about the economy, when economic experts are predicting major economic problems in the next few years?

Update: When I look at the Obama website, there looks like there are about three events a day. When I look at the McCain website, I see one event a day. Is the McCain campaign being very careful to not tire out the candidate or what?

Since the best defense is a good offense...

the RepubliCons will point to Obama's "I've been to 57 states" claim and recent city mixup (Sioux Falls/City?). No matter that McCain's many gaffes, goofs, flip-flops and senior moments outnumber any of Obama's mistakes by 100:1.

I can see it already: Clips of those two errors with a voice-over saying, "If Senator Obama doesn't know where he is or where he's been, how can we trust him to know where to lead? Blah-blah-blah..." This would turn any mention of McCain's frequent foibles into a "Well, so do you!" issue. And since the mainstream media is usually lazy and ineffective, it seems unlikely that they'd set the record straight.

Research

I am bringing it up because I really believe that it has substance. In the Republican debates, there are many times that McCain seems just lost. McCain is in heavy makeup where his heavy age spotting does not show. The light is high from above so his lack of hair does not show. He used to sometimes use a cane, which he now does not do for this campaign. The McCain friendly press does not shoot McCain from the side view. The work schedule is light and frequently private, implying a high degree of protection.

McCain aging a question

Perhaps lost in all of this is the man was a POW and subject to major stresses in captivity. The result of this could be his premature aging. Torture never makes one younger or more fit.

According to Grace's 5/13 entry, it only takes four mistakes

to have "strong evidence of McCain being senile." Of course four mistakes by Gracie means she's only a "part time old lady citizen journalist" and nobody should question her competency in that capacity.

That's okay. In ten years, Gracie will be complaining about how others stereotype her due to her age!

Yep, I am running for president (humor)

Obviously I have made enough mistakes to qualify to run for president....

on the Republican ticket only!
