Hmmm, is Norm Coleman trying to polish up a bit for the elections, hoping for short media memory? Gee Norm, could we please have transparency in our government? Have my library records or phone conversations been taken without a warrant?

Yay Klobuchar

I was really worried and was fully prepared to write her office an angry letter. She is so not progressive on so many issues that matter but alas, those are all canceled out by this vote. This is why I voted for her and donated my time to her.

Career Guard and Reserve Veterans

Governor Pawlenty

I would like to know your views on what Tim Walz has been trying to get passed in regards to earlier retirement benefits for retired US Army Reserve and National Guard soldiers. As it stands now, benefits start at age 60, and Mr. Walz is trying to get the government to change this to age 55.
There are more Guard and Reserve members now serving in foreign wars than ever before, and to refuse this change for them is horrible! The US Senate, in the past, voted themselves pay raises and life-long benefits, to include continued pay for life, regardless of how many terms they serve! For these LAW MAKERS to refuse a benefit like this for citizen soldiers who are pulled away from their families and jobs and put into the line of enemy fire OVERSEAS, for sometimes over a year, is just the most ludicrous absurdity EVER perpetuated on a group of more deserving men and women this country has ever known!
It is high time the elected officials of THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA started taking care of the citizens who put them in their high and mighty offices! Because "BUSINESS AS USUAL" just doesn't cut it any more!!!

Cordially yours (a VERY CONCERNED CITIZEN)

Support the Troops

It is funny how I see "Support the Troops" everywhere and yet not really any support of troop flak jackets, health care or education. I guess I would first like all vet education and vet health benefits fully funded. I would like the troops to be drinking clean safe water in Iraq. I am most worried about vets who are disabled not getting the appropriate care and the appropriate disability payments. I trust Tim Waltz on what he says. Basically, we need to stop the wars and put our money where our values are.
