Steve Sarvi now on DCCC's radar
Joe Bodell over at MN Campaign Report has the scoop that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) has placed Steve Sarvi on the emerging races list.
Of course, for that to happen, several things would have to occur first: the candidates would need to raise a bunch of money, the DCCC would have to see some polling suggesting a close race they can help put in the bag, and the D-trip's huge financial advantage over its Republican counterpart would need to stay in place. That last part shouldn't be a problem -- at last glance, they were leading the NRCC by about $30 million, which means they're able to play offense in more Republican-held seats than the NRCC is able to defend. But Sarvi and Tinklenberg are trailing in the money race, and they'll need those resources to compete on the air in September and October. Feel free to help out.
Did we bloggers in the li'l ol' MN lefty blogosphere help get him on this list with our Steve Sarvi Blog Day? While I would love to claim that, all we can be certain of is that the DCCC knows we MN lefty bloggers have Sargeant Sarvi's back. We bloggers gave Our Brave Captain, Ashwin Madia, his first bit of traction and we're doing what we can to get the word out about Sarvi.
